Sr Manager, Water Operations - Now Hiring

Position Purpose:
Responsible for the waste water treatment plant operations, the site's potable water, cooling towers and storm water infrastructure and their associated equipment systems for the Kankakee facility.
Accountable for operational performance measurements, system operational reliability, maintenance, safety, quality and training programs operated through client services.
Must have cross-functional knowledge and experience in Plant Utilities.
The Operations Manager is responsible to ensure all federal, state and local regulations and environmental guidelines are met.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment and systemsDirects a team of operators and technicians and is accountable for the plant equipmentEngineering lead to address operational and compliance concernsMaintain accurate records of plant operations and maintenance activitiesEngineering lead on projects and modification of site water infrastructure and wastewater treatment facilitiesEnsure client provides uninterruptible water and waste treatment services and urgent matters are addressed in a timely matterResponsible for the forecasting and operational budget/expense of the treatment plantProvides 24/7 support with effective emergency response2.
Accountable for the Water Infrastructure and WasteWater Plant Reliability Program:
Maintenance strategy and plans for equipment and above/underground piping systemsEquipment is maintained at a level required to provide high reliability maximizing useful lifeManagement of CMMS and execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance Improvements Continuous Improvement of maintenance PM's, BOM's and Spare PartsEstablish functional requirements, operating process maps, SOP's, etc to manage the systemDevelops procedures for normal operations, startup/shutdown and emergency (upset) conditions3.
Ensure full compliance of all water and waste treatment systems:
Oversee environmental studies, which include monitoring, reviewing sample collections, laboratory tests and analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsMonitor and adjust chemical dosagesEnsure all client staff is adequately trained on work related duties and up to date on all federal, state and local regulations and environmental guidelines.
Manage training, deviations and investigations with on-time closureReview and perform audits of the client, document and report findings to management while driving to closureSafely resolve process problems, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize productionPartner with Environmental Health and Safety team and local municipal wastewater authorities to review wastewater permit and permit compliance.

Manage and monitor KPI's:
Ensure compliance with site and global indicatorsPerform measurement tracking on client operations and performance metrics to drive efficiency KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)Measure and provide performance reports, dashboards and metricsTracks plant inflow and outflow through metering and provides relevant updates to system imbalance5.
Responsible for development of capital projects requirements and business cases to enable Utility Master Plan updates and Sustainability Initiatives.

Demonstrate continuous improvement with respect to increasing job knowledge and proficiency related to industry engineering best practices and technologies, as well as technical understanding/problem solving capability.
7.
Responsible to address all safety related events and ensure operations and maintenance team is adhering to the safety policy.
8.
Collaborates within the CSL network to share best practices.
9.
Technical Representative for Internal and Regulatory Agency audits.
10.

Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil EngineeringWater and Wastewater certifications, (preferred but not required)Experience Requirements:
7
years of water/wastewater engineering and operational experienceKnowledgeable on the design, construction, and operation of water (i.
e.
cooling towers) and wastewater systemsKnowledgeable with respect to the chemical and biological processes in water and wastewater treatment with analytical skills to analyze disturbances and make adjustmentsKnowledgeable with respect to the operation and maintenance of various waste treatment equipment including blowers, aerobic and anaerobic biological basins, centrifuge, polymer blending units and dissolved air floatation.
Experience with Quality Management and Change Control Systems.
Functional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facilityKnowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Excellent technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
Financial experience with budgetary responsibilitiesComputer skills:
MS Office Suite, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
